Until a few years ago I thought many women were whiners. I believed that aging simply goes hand in hand with, for example, getting wrinkles and thinning hair. I even liked my grandmother's pleated skin. Until the Great Decay started with me too. Well before my thirties! Then you'll beep differently. Slowly I began to understand how Snow White's angry stepmother got so angry. I have to deal with impurities that I had never heard of before. Oily skin, blackheads… and so on . Fortunately, I've learned a few tricks for that these days. Moreover, new remedies are invented every day for us 'whiners'. This week I'm trying a new one:the FaceMask face mask from MayBeauty.
The main ingredient of the FaceMask face mask from MayBeauty is deep sea mud. Of course we ladies no longer have a hard time about that. We prefer to avoid dirty nails, but a good layer of mud on the skin seems to be very healthy. Just a warning:this mask is really pitch black. Ideal if you want to give someone a heart attack, you just have to suddenly show up somewhere. But apparently also ideal for cleansing the skin, and that is of course the most important. If you have little ones at home, I'd take them to grandma and grandpa's for an afternoon, before they think it's Sinterklaas already.
The umpteenth mask, I hear you think. Another miracle cure. However, we will definitely recommend it to you. You apply the FaceMask face mask from MayBeauty in liquid form, and when it has hardened after half an hour, you pull it off your face. Dead skin cells but also blackheads and acne come along. Be careful, because you can even wax your eyebrows with it. So avoid the parts of your face where you prefer to maintain hair growth.
You let the mask 'dry' for half an hour. Where in the beginning you have a cooling fresh mask on your skin, after a while you start to feel that the mask is starting to dry up. Your skin becomes tighter and it becomes more difficult to talk, for example. When it has completely dried, pull the mask off in its entirety. So first 'scrape' a small point and then remove the entire skin. You will then be left with this.
That hurts quite a bit, especially if you have a fluffy skin like me. Then wash your face with warm water and apply a moisturizing cream. Luckily I had some moisturizing lotion from the Body Shop from a previous review. This was also necessary, to cool down for a while. My skin remained red for half an hour afterwards, so don't use this mask to freshen up if you have to go out quickly afterwards. Your skin really needs to recover.
Sitting down for half an hour doing nothing is actually not in my system. Recognizable? That alone is reason enough to do a face mask every now and then. You are 'forced' to sit down for a while. Although you could of course also start vacuuming while moving in. Joyce might do that again, because she even has a vacuum cleaner in her hands on her first snapshot with the wedding dress. Talk about not very wise 😉 . Anyway, do you not only want to see how it is done on photo, but also on video… be my guest! Joyce has also had a blast with the Facemask face mask .
So I was looking forward to relaxing for half an hour. Were it not that I had accepted a package for my neighbor from the postman. I spent 30 long minutes hoping the gentleman wouldn't ring the bell. And I didn't have to open the door as Zwarte Piet. He would still think I was wearing a balaclava. By the way, he might as well call now. My skin has really improved with this mask. The MayBeauty FaceMask does work. Blackheads are gone and my skin feels fresh, and no longer greasy at all. And oh yes, my down fur has also disappeared.
But be ware… you have to work hard! Interested in playing the tough chick, resulting in beautiful, soft, clean skin? You can order the masks online here.
