Facial masks are the perfect facial care treatment to help you with your skin care concerns. The homemade face mask can help hydrate the skin, eliminate excess oil and improve the appearance of your pores. It is also a great way to remove impurities. Another advantage of wearing a homemade face mask:the feeling of being pampered as if you were in a spa in the comfort of your own home.

Every healthy skincare regimen includes products for daily and weekly use. You can apply a homemade face mask once a week or more, depending on your skin tone and skincare concerns.

Honey avocado mask

If you're looking for a moisturizing, softening, anti-aging solution to your late summer problems, you've come to the right place. A natural humectant, honey helps lock in moisture while its antibacterial and antioxidant properties make it a must for a flawless face. Combined with avocado, it maximizes hydration and slows skin aging, making it worth whipping up once a week.

Ingredients:

  • 2 to 3 lawyers
  • ¼ cup of honey

Instructions:

  • Cut 2-3 avocados in half. Throw the pits
  • Using your hands, remove the avocado and mash it. Transfer to a medium bowl
  • Add ¼ cup of honey to your avocado mixture
  • Mix everything with a pestle
  • Remove the resulting mixture from the bowl and put in a jar to store in the refrigerator where it will keep fresh for three to five days.

Use:rub the face with the hands. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse with cold water

Sugar lip scrub

Although sugar is usually used to remove dead skin, it is best to use sugar scrubs in moderation on other parts of the body, as the micro tears it creates can turn into hyperpigmentation on people of color. But there's no problem using a pinch to smooth your lips since sugar retains moisture. It's a light exfoliant that doesn't taste bad and can be ingested.

This is best done with a refined sugar to reduce the risk of mini abrasions that can occur with irregular granules of raw sugar. Take your sugar scrub a step further and mix the granules with a little coconut oil and your lips will feel soft and smooth.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon organic coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of organic honey

Instructions:

  • In a bowl, mix 1 tbsp of coconut oil with 1 tbsp of honey. Mix until you get a rich, thick and smooth consistency.
  • Add two tablespoons of firmly packed brown sugar to your base and stir until fully incorporated and coated, forming a paste. Adjust the sugar/base ratio to achieve the desired scrub consistency.
  • Remove the lip scrub from the bowl and put it in your glass container with a lid.

Use:Before each use, let the scrub sit and adjust to room temperature to soften before applying to your lips. To use, apply a generous amount of the scrub to your lips in circular motions. Let sit for 1-2 minutes, then remove with a warm washcloth.

Matcha Mask

Besides aloe, milk is one of the best home remedies for a bad sunburn. Milk protein does your body good by calming irritated skin while providing much-needed moisture and reducing flaking. Its consistency might work better as a toner, but using it as a low-sugar yogurt in this recipe not only keeps your homemade face mask in place while the matcha and clay help detoxify, but the probiotics in yogurt can also help keep flare-ups at bay.

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon of rhassoul clay (also called Moroccan clay or red clay)
  • 1 teaspoon matcha tea powder
  • 1 teaspoon powdered coconut milk (or ¼ teaspoon coconut cream)
  • 1-2 teaspoons plain yogurt or coconut yogurt (for a vegan mask)

Instructions:

  • Add the powdered ingredients to a small bowl
  • Add the yogurt, stirring little by little to make a paste
  • If there is no time to mix, start with the Matcha Coconut Coconut Paste Mask and add 1-2 teaspoons of coconut yogurt or plain yogurt.

Use:Apply the paste to clean, damp skin. Leave on for 15-20 minutes, then wash off with lukewarm water.
