After a good night's sleep, you look in the mirror. To your surprise, you look like you've made it through the night. What can you do to leave the house somewhat presentable?
Margriet van der Klugt, Training Manager Cosmetique Active Netherlands, answers: "Tired skin can be caused by lack of sleep or by a diet that contains too few healthy nutrients. As a result, signs of fatigue are more apparent; wrinkles and lines are more noticeable and your skin is dull and less firm. During the day, the signs of fatigue often become even more apparent on your face. Sleeping more and eating healthier are the best long-term solutions to make your skin glow again, but luckily there are also ways to give your skin an immediate boost.
Do you have the idea that your skin looked less tired in the past? That could be right; as you get older, your skin recovers up to 5 times less quickly. A day cream is therefore even more important for your skin than it used to be. Use a day cream that works during the day against slackening, which stimulates blood flow and prevents expression lines. For example, choose Vichy Liftactiv Supreme day cream. Apply a BB cream with light-reflecting particles over your day cream, which ensures that your skin looks fresh and rested again.'
