Women who are tanned often feel more confident with a tan and that is immediately part of the explanation. Brown skin also has the effect of concealment. Pits, stretch marks, edges and cellulite are less noticeable than with white skin and that makes your body look slimmer as a whole. There are even women who apply extra shadows for the real optical illusion work, but that's another story.
