Your tan will fade and the cold will make your skin drier. Here are six beauty tweaks to make this fall.
1. Opt for creams with a richer texture
Certainly if the wind gets stronger or if it gets really cold, your skin could use some extra protection. Replace your light cream for a variant with a richer texture.
2. Check the color of your foundation and powder
In the summer you are usually a bit tan, so you can have a darker color. Check if that's still the case in the fall, you don't want to walk around with a foundation mask.
3. Do not scrub your skin too often
Prefer to use a peeling or scrub with fine grains than with coarse grains, which is gentler on your skin.
4. Get rid of products with alcohol
Do you have dry skin? Check the ingredients list of your skin care products. Alcohol dries out the skin. But did you know that not all types of alcohol are (equally) bad? Serena Verbon from Beautylab wrote an interesting article about alcohol in skincare.
5. Keep greasing with an SPF
Is your day cream with factor almost empty? Fall is no excuse not to buy that cream again. You should also apply at least factor 15 in autumn and winter.
6. Add a serum to your hair care
Dry and frizzy hair is annoying. Fortunately, a serum in the ends can keep your hair in check a bit.
Which products do you use more often now that autumn has arrived?
