Disabled swimmer Théo Curin, a four-legged amputee, has signed a partnership with Biotherm Homme, the world's number one in men's skincare. A nice story.
Théo Curin is a man who realizes his dreams. This double world vice-champion in swimming has already achieved great things at only 19 years old. But dreams, there are others. Like appearing one fine day in the public space on an advertising poster, for example. "Clearly, that's what I want" , he aspires. And with him, "everything is possible" . Amputated of four limbs at the age of 6 after a devastating meningitis, this handsome kid with a devastating smile has signed a partnership with Biotherm Homme, the world leader in men's skincare having already collaborated, among other stars, with football icon David Beckham, reports Le Parisien.
The young man has therefore become one of the muses of the French brand owned by the L'Oréal group. Photos and video sequences depicting his portrait are to be discovered and he is responsible for promoting it on social networks and in particular on his Instagram account which already has nearly 116,000 followers. This is the very first time in France that a quadri-amputee is at the heart of a campaign for a cosmetics brand.
"This handsome young man is an inspiring model. He impressed us with his enthusiasm, his courage, his spontaneity. He knew how to bounce back after painful trials. He made his difficulties a motivation, finding in the water his second source of energy" , praises Giulio Bergamaschi, president of Biotherm International.
At Biotherm, we believe that "mentalities are changing" and that Théo carries the values of the brand wonderfully. It is also believed that today there is "a need for inclusiveness" in our society. The multinational is convinced that the general public can welcome these unusual images in the world of beauty creams. "It's up to us to work so that people are more and more ready to receive this type of positive message" , explains Giulio Bergamaschi.
For his part, Theo loves this experience:"It's great to play the models" , even if he recognizes that he has not always been comfortable with his body.
And Théo Curin hasn't planned to stop there since in addition to having been chosen as the face of a major brand,he has also become a columnist for the show "Magazine de la santé" on France 5.
