Vegan cosmetic definition

A vegan cosmetic prohibits any animal material from its formulation. It also goes without saying that it is not tested on animals.

In beauty products, even natural or organic, you can find ingredients of animal origin such as beeswax, honey, keratin, milk or milk proteins. In vegan cosmetics, no ingredients of animal origin are allowed .

The different labels of a vegan cosmetic

Vegan cosmetics have different labels . It is necessary to distinguish vegan labels certifying that the product does not contain any ingredient of animal origin (beeswax, milk protein, etc.) from labels that certify the absence of tests of the finished or future product on animals. .

The Vegan Society label “:cosmetics with the “Vegan Society” label are made from plants and vegetables and do not contain any ingredients of animal origin. This label also guarantees the total absence of animal testing. This is the international standard label for vegan products.
