Animal testing has been banned in the EU since the beginning of this year. Good news:the good example has finally blown over to China, where animal testing was even mandatory.
The Chinese authorities are opting for alternatives to animal testing for the testing of locally produced skin care, shampoo and perfume. That is a special and important step in the fight against animal testing.
The Body Shop has been fighting against animal testing for cosmetic purposes for years. Great success was achieved in the EU at the beginning of this year and now that alternatives are also being opted for in China, we are one step closer to a test-free cosmetic industry.
