The salt spray imitates the effect of seawater on the hair. It texturizes it and gives it thickness by creating a sheath around the fiber.
It is used on dry hair (after detangling):the product spreads better (=no clumps) and it is easier to work with. It is sprayed at arm's length like hairspray, on the lengths. 4 to 5 sprays are enough for a natural finish (if you put too much, you risk the "dirty hair" effect). We work the mane with the fingers, when it is still wet. We can crease, plait, twist, tie the hair… In short, we do as we want! Then let it dry.
No… but it tends to dry it out, like pollution would. So, arch-sensitized and/or very discolored manes will avoid. Since hair is porous, it absorbs salt and becomes coarse.
