We explained it to you at the start of the school year, you cannot keep your sunscreen products from one year to the next if they have been opened (see our Wednesday question on this subject). But if there is half or even a bit of cream or oil left over, no waste, we recycle!
Hair is often dry and damaged after the summer... So we take out our suntan oil and apply it as a mask on the ends to nourish them, before shampooing if you have fine and/or slightly damaged hair, after they are quite fragile. If the protective virtues of the SPF have disappeared, the oil remains no less nourishing.
Often very thick, the SPF 50 cream will be less moisturizing than a cream with lower protection. On the other hand, the protective film acts as a screen and blocks the skin from external aggressions such as pollution for example. However, avoid using it on the face. The creamy texture of sunscreen makes for a great hand cream, especially if you opted for a "moisturizing" formula. If you are still within 12 months of opening the cream, you also benefit from the SPF (=protection against dark spots).
As it has no SPF, it is not affected by the post-summer sorting of sunscreen products, but despite everything, we often return to a "classic" formula when the good weather is gone. And yet… after-sun milk is richer than a moisturizer, so it’s ideal for transitioning into cold days (and the croc skin that goes with it). And then its smell takes us back to vacation instantly, why deprive yourself of it?
