We knew about BBs and CCs... now we'll have to reckon with DD creams! Reminder:the BB cream (BB =Blemish Balm, anti-redness balm) is a tinted make-up product, which also acts on hydration, the radiance of the complexion and offers SPF protection. The CC cream (CC =Color Control, color correction) is a lightly tinted treatment, which evens out the complexion by camouflaging redness and pigment spots, and has anti-aging active ingredients. In fact, it's not easy to find your way around, as some CCs are actually closer to BB formulas.
So what are these DD creams? These are "Daily Defense" creams, more or less tinted treatments that protect the epidermis against daily aggressions (UV and pollution). They are applied instead of the day cream or after it. DD creams incorporate certain characteristics of BBs and CCs (hydration, the "beautiful skin" aspect, anti-aging active ingredients, etc.), while ensuring high sun protection (with strong filters against UVA rays, responsible for aging cellular) and an anti-pollution action. In terms of coverage, it varies from one brand to another, but we are closer to a beautifier than a foundation.
It seems that EE creams (for Energy Enhancing =energy booster) are being developed. How about FF or GG? Does it inspire you? We are waiting for your proposals!
