This season, the leopard print is back on all fronts:in blouses, pants, belts or shoes... For a long time, this print suffered from a bad reputation, being described as "cheap" or vulgar. And yet, worn with taste, it is very trendy and absolutely not vulgar. We offer you looks that are easy to reproduce, without the risk of fashion faux pas.
We wear the leopard in small touch, to break a "stereotype" of outfit. For example, for an all-white or pastel outfit, pairing it with a leopard print clutch can give a twist to a style that is too classic and/or too stuffy.
The bag
We favor clutches and shoulder bags, to keep the "little touch of leopard" effect, and we avoid large imposing bags.
The shoes
In sneakers, derbies, moccasins or pumps, the different shapes can be worn without problem. We just avoid prints that are too bland, neglected finishes that can quickly become low-end and we favor materials like foal-style leather. The leopard being an animal print, by opting for a furry material (synthetic, of course), we make it all the more authentic and natural.
The belt
This year, we are on 2 opposing trends:the XXL belt and the mini-belt. The big leopard belt is best worn with casual clothes to limit the too sexy side of the belt which already marks the waist and enhances the shapes. The small, thin belt brightens up a monochrome look, slipping it between the loops of trousers or over a dress, for example.
The scarf
A light scarf around the neck, a leopard scarf in the hair or simply hung on a bag, these are pieces that are very easy to move and can be worn in various ways. But you have to choose beautiful materials, no frills, sequins or crumpled materials that would add too many elements, we remain chic and simple.
For the great players who know how to handle the leopard print, we suggest letting go by wearing an imposing piece.
The coat
We dare the big faux fur coat, which catches the eye, but we play it sober by accessorizing with a total white or black look, or we mix it with denim.
With color
We can mix the leopard with color but in this case, we avoid colors that are too flashy or in small doses, like a clutch or shoes. Red goes particularly well with leopard, just choose a simple and not too extravagant cut so as not to look vulgar.
It's up to you!
