On May 19, a new princess officially entered Buckingham Palace. Actress Meghan Markle has indeed become Duchess of Sussex after being united with the youngest son of Diana Spencer and Prince Charles, Harry. And who says new crowned head, of course says new style icon whose all outputs are carefully scrutinized. Until then, the young American has done flawlessly:the sober dresses worn at her wedding were unanimous, as were her recent chic outfits associated with high perched heels. However, it is her sister-in-law Kate Middleton who continues to inspire British women the most. The annual "UK Retail Report" unveiled by eBay reflects the great influence of the Duchess of Cambridge in terms of trends:her classic tastes are preferred by the population to those of Meghan Markle, a tad more daring.
When Kate Middleton was pregnant with Prince Louis (who was born on April 23, 2018), her outfits generated more searches on eBay than those of any other member of the royal family. Long, fitted maternity coats have seen a spike in popularity, as has the red, Peter Pan-collar dress by Jenny Packham that the mother-of-one wore when she left St Mary's Hospital where she gave birth. And fashion searches related to the Duchess have remained constant, according to the report. Meghan Markle still occupies 2nd place in the ranking of crowned icons. Her wedding dress Givenchy led to a 60% increase in searches for the French fashion house on eBay, and her reception dress designed by Stella McCartney helped double searches for the British designer. The Duchess of Sussex is followed by Princess Charlotte, Kate and William's second child, who wore a crown of flowers on the occasion of her uncle Harry's wedding. A 60% increase in searches for similar hair accessories was seen afterward. Prince George occupies a well-deserved 4th place (don't tell us you don't love his little high socks?!). Definitely, she really makes this adorable family dream!
