This season, we find her everywhere, whether on the catwalks or in the street, she is adored by it-girls and celebrities around the world. From Marion Cotillard to Miranda Kerr, they all proudly show it off and make this pair of shoes a summer 2016 essential. Why? Because reinvented during the last Fashion Week, the mule makes you want femininity and gives a relaxed look, which you will want to adopt as soon as possible. Flat or with heels, we find it in leather at Lanvin, in fur at Gucci or in lace at Balenciaga. The mule makes us see all the materials and we like that! It brings an original touch to our simplest looks. Without forgetting an important advantage:it tapers the leg. As a result, we assume our legs even more, and we must admit, it feels good.
To carry the mule, you need courage. And even a lot of courage. The fashion faux pas is never far away with this iconic piece from the 60s. If you choose the wrong pair or accompany it with the wrong look, it can quickly become quite ugly. We have to admit, there are so many importable models:the slipper mule, the basket mule, the babouche mule that reminds us much more of Aladdin than Phoebe Philo... If you're the type to run between two dates, you might as well forget this shoe, we risk ending up in a bad remake of Cinderella. Same if we can't part with our old boyfriend jeans, it's better to leave it because the mule only highlights the 7/8 cuts. Finally if we are (too) small, we pass our turn, unless we are not afraid of the 12 cm mules!
