The biannual fashion event Amsterdam Fashion Week (AFW) returns in a new form. On a different date and a new location in the heart of the city:in the middle of the Museumplein. From September 6-9, in addition to the show schedule at the main venue, there will be several off schedule events. Amsterdam Fashion Week is by invitation and partly freely accessible to everyone.
The show program on Saturday and Sunday is filled with established names such as department store Hudson's Bay, Penn&Ink N.Y., Silvian Heach, Goldbergh, 10DAYS, supermarket chain Lidl x Heidi Klum, Maison 365, Le Cafe Noir Studio &Jenneskens and Zoe Karssen. New is the See Now, Buy Now formula aimed at consumers who can buy the collection immediately while watching the live stream. Naturally, AFW also offers space to designers and young talent with, among others, NINAMOUNAH and Lichting 2018 in collaboration with HTNK, Meester Koetsier Foundation and Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam. Fashion Week will be opened on Thursday evening by designer David Laport.
Just before the start of each show, last minute tickets are available that give everyone the chance of free entry to the show. In addition to the main program, there are many other initiatives and activities with which the entire city breathes fashion.
