A new concept will be introduced in the March edition of Amsterdam Fashion Week:AFW Studio. This edition focuses mainly on broad programming. In addition to a varied show program, photography, art and design are also embraced. In addition, inspiring talks will also be provided during AFW Studio.
The program will include catwalk shows and/or presentations by designers such as Marlou Breuls, Hul le Kes van Sjaak Hullekes, Ninamounah and Maison the Faux, supported by Park Plaza Victoria Amsterdam, SEBMAN by Sebastian Professional and the Meester Koetsier Foundation. In addition, emerging and established brands such as Stieglitz in collaboration with Toral Shoes, Kimberley Jenneskens &Liesbeth Sterkenburg (with a duo show featuring both collections), The New Originals and Silvian Heach will present their collections.
The AFW Studio concept of Amsterdam Fashion Week focuses mainly on broad programming, with the Compagnietheater as the central and creative hub. Within this programming, various activities are freely accessible to everyone, such as an ongoing exhibition curated by creative talent Duran Lantink. Within the Compagnietheater, in addition to the show program and the continuous exhibition, there is also a Libertine café and a perfume lab of Keva Fragrances. There is also a designer exhibition of unique second-hand items by renowned vintage shops Salon Heleen Hülsmann and ByDanieVintageStore.
AFW Studio takes place in the weekend from Thursday 7 to Sunday 10 March.
