On May 18, the exhibition 'Modemuze@OBA:Innovation' opens in the Central OBA. After the successful first edition in the OBA in 2017, Modemuze is once again presenting a surprising exhibition with an extensive and diverse program of events. Be inspired by both historical clothing and contemporary outfits by young designers, selected by fourteen museums and four collectors. The exhibition is organized by Modemuze; the online platform for four centuries of fashion and costume history. Each Modemuze partner has chosen one or more objects from their own collection.
Designing by young designers
The international fashion community MAFB and the digital platform Modemuze invited six young designers to be inspired by clothing from the Amsterdam Museum and the Museum for World Cultures. Based on this, these designers have designed new outfits especially for this occasion.
Modemuze@OBA is free to visit from 18 May to 2 September and can be visited daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the Centrale OBA, Oosterdokskade 143, Amsterdam.
