Did you think that cocktails were only reserved for aperitif time? Hey neni! The art of mixing products to achieve the perfect combo extends far beyond the realm of happy hour. And especially when it comes to creating THE perfect product for your unique hair needs and/or the style you want to achieve.
First of all it is a question of knowing your hair texture (for those who do not already know it, I invite you to read my article on this subject here) to detect their need, determine the texture of the products that you will use and the right combination to adopt.
On the other hand, the associations can also be chosen according to the hairstyle and the rendering you want to obtain.
You will find below some ideas of hair cocktails that have already proven their worth. To be tested without further delay.
It's THE miracle cocktail for those who haven't had time to wash their hair and need to find an emergency solution. Just start by spraying dry shampoo on the roots. This will absorb the sebum of the scalp and take off the hair. Then apply a dab of hair gloss to the lengths to restore all the shine of freshly washed hair.
Who says shiny hair says healthy hair. So well hydrated. Start by applying a leave in conditioner which will give them all the hydration they need.
Then, unless you already have naturally straight hair, apply a heat protectant to protect it before drying and straightening it with an iron. Finish with a serum to reduce frizz and provide maximum shine.
Start by applying a leave in conditioner and a seasalt spray to your damp hair before drying it. This combination will add body to straight hair as well as revive the waves in already textured hair, while keeping the hair well hydrated.
As soon as your hair is dry, and if it is straight, wave it before finishing with a texturizing spray or a little wax. For wavy hair go straight to the texturizing box. This finish will give the famous hairstyle-disheveled side of a return from the beach.
This is to accentuate the wavy texture of the hair while keeping the side shiny and healthy. While the salt spray has the power to accentuate the movement, it can also dry out the hair. This is why it is often good to combine it with a product that removes frizz due to dryness and coats the hair like a light serum if your hair is fine or not very dense, or a styling cream if your hair is rather thick.
To obtain maximum blow-dry volume, it is important on the one hand to apply a mousse to the hair roots. This will help loosen them and give the desired volume effect. Then, to add thickness to the hair, apply a volumizing spray to the lengths. This combo is very popular with flat and/or fine hair. Be careful, however, to use products with a light texture.
Lucky women with curly hair unfortunately often have to struggle with dry hair. The key word here is therefore hydration!
Unsurprisingly, the first product to apply is a leave-in conditioner, known to boost and seal the hair's hydration. Those with fine hair choose unleave in liquid conditioner. On the contrary, if your hair has a thicker consistency, you can use a creamier leave in conditioner.
This done, now apply a product that will redefine the curls such as a jelly or a cream if your hair is thicker.
You can also finish your cocktail by adding a drop of oil to the ends and lengths to treat their dryness or a serum if you want beautiful shiny curls.
It is a combination well known to women with frizzy hair (called the L.O.C method in English) to be THE winning cocktail of maximum hydration.
Start with a liquid leave in conditioner for those with fine hair or cream for thicker hair. This first step brings a boost of hydration. Follow with a hair oil that will seal in the hydration. Then finish with a styling cream that will redefine the curls, bring shine and hold to the hair.
So ladies, now that you know that fine hair requires light and liquid products and thick hair rather creamy, that curly and frizzy hair requires super moisturizing products and that flat or sparse hair requires volumizing products, you have all the cards. in handto make your hair cocktail as you see fit.
