Multitasking in the shower is ideal if you are not yet fully awake. Still, it is better to skip washing your face in the shower.
There are two reasons why you should skip this habit:
- It is best to wash your face with cold to lukewarm water. That is probably a lot colder than the water you shower with. The warm shower water can dry out your face and if you are sensitive to it, it can cause redness and even visible blood vessels.
- Secondly, there is a chance that dirt will end up on your face, for example leftovers of styling product or shampoo.
It is therefore better to wash your face at the sink.
