The teeth whitening rules will be tightened as of November 1, 2012.
At the dentist
For a radiant white smile you will have to see a dentist as of the first of November. Any clinic that deals with whitening of teeth, must employ a dentist. In addition, the bleaches used may not contain more than 6 percent hydrogen peroxide, while now working with 15, 25, or 35 percent resources.
Tooth whiteners
You can still buy tooth whiteners at the drugstore and via the internet, but these may contain a maximum of 0.1 percent hydrogen peroxide. This also applies to the products that beauty salons and independent dental hygienists use. The sale is only controlled by the Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority.
