Hair trends are a bit like fashion:an eternal restart. The new trend that reminds us of the 1980s and their eccentricity? Hair stencils! At the forefront of this dazzling comeback, the Californian stylist and hairdresser
Janine Ker, now based in London. The young woman explains that she spotted the trend some time ago, and immediately thought of "all the possibilities" that she could in turn realize.
On long, short, light, dark manes, the artist undertook to give pep to the different heads, and we can say that the result is explosive. Bright and degraded colors, geometric shapes, crowns of flowers… Street art is taking hold on the hair, and Janine Ker sees it as a trend that could well last in the future. “As a hairdresser, it's easy to stick to one way of doing things. But in the beauty industry, we have to constantly innovate, because beauty is constantly evolving,” she says.
The most of graffiti hair? The coloring products used do not damage the hair. But, as it needed a downside, here it is:hair works of art do not survive the first hair wash. We are therefore satisfied with an ephemeral drawing, or we go back and forth to the salon every week. Well, anyway we think it's more obvious to sport these haircuts when we live in Los Angeles, but we keep the idea in the back of our minds for a slightly saucy event, like a festival or a theme party. We let you admire the results as original as they are successful, and we say hats off to the artist!
