It is not uncommon to come across beauty products that take up flavors that we are more used to having on the plate:a coconut balm, a caramel scrub and even a shower gel. with a lemon pie flavor… Nothing surprising for people who (like the one who writes these lines) like to spend time in the bathroom section of supermarkets. But for some time now, sweet flavors have been upstaged by salty dishes that are also junk food classics. And fast food chain KFC is one of those who want to think outside the box:at the end of 2016, it released a fried chicken scented candle. A year later, the same flavor is taken up and integrated… into a bath bomb! Yes, you read that right.
KFC has teamed up with Village Vanguard — a brand that markets soup-flavored bath granules in Japan — to create the cosmetic that not only smells but is also shaped like a chicken leg. The flavor of poultry is accompanied by that of 11 mixed herbs and spices, so as not to do things by halves and to smell the frying well afterwards. But getting your hands on these extraordinary products is reserved for a privileged few:only 100 "lucky ones" drawn at random in Japan between November 1 and 15 will receive the bath bombs and will be able to try the experience. Dry those tears away, there's still the pizza-scented bath bomb for those who would like (but really!) to smell greasy after washing. Well, we're going to stay faithful to our orange peel shower gel, huh...
