This fluid is part of Galénic's "Cauterets" range, intended more for young skin with imperfections. Water from Cauterets has purifying properties because it is rich in silica and trace elements. Galénic then added an astringent and purifying complex based on AHAs (fruit acids) and witch hazel water.
If I no longer have acne, I still have combination to oily skin, so dehydrated in places. That is to say that it pulls when I washed it, so to compensate for the effect, it diffuses a little more sebum than it should.
The solution I found is to use a moisturizing and mattifying fluid to hydrate while limiting shine. On the market, most of them contain silicone, which has a semi-occlusive effect on the skin:you get a nice velvety finish, but the silicone tends to clog the pores, and gives me little pimples. So I looked for a product that didn't contain it and I'm delighted to have found this Galénic fluid, a drugstore brand I already trusted.
I use the Matifying Moisturizing Fluid with Eau de Cauterets every morning. I'm quite generous because I need to really nourish my skin (so it's not very economical). As soon as I apply it, it has a velvety, powdery effect on my skin that is really instantaneous. If I don't put makeup on afterwards, the matte effect really stays on all day.
Gradually, my skin became less oily and it feels less tight in the morning. This winter, I will definitely add a more nourishing treatment to my evening routine, but for the morning, it really is a treatment that is perfectly suited to my needs. In addition, this Galénic fluid has a very sweet smell of plants, slightly sweet, it smells clean!
