Soothe (in depth)
As we saw in our first installment (published November 6, 2014), the less we do on sensitive skin, the better it is. However, you can indulge in the ritual of the mask, provided it is strong in hydration. Two solutions:opt for a mask without rinsing, so that the skin quenches its thirst. Or apply a thick layer of your day cream and leave on until completely absorbed (Aqualia Thermal Mineral Balm, Vichy, €19). When ? Before going to bed and at least twice a week (efficacy inversely proportional to sex appeal).
Adopt food supplements
Another solution to boost the hydrolipidic film and restore the water level:dietary supplements. Favor essential fatty acids (omega 3 and 6) but also vitamins and trace elements (vitamins A, C and E.). If you are very stressed, take a little magnesium cure (D-Stress from Synergia Laboratories).
Strictly sort out your bathroom.
The goal of the maneuver:to eliminate everything that is not essential (oh yes, you will find!) to simplify the skincare routine as much as possible. Just keep one or two cleansing products + a care cream. And that's it.
Dermatologist's advice:Prefer tube packaging and close them well after use to prevent bacteria from entering the formula. If your treatment is in a jar, do not immerse your fingers in the cream, use the small plastic stick provided. Also, respect the expiration dates. They are indicated by a date or by an acronym in the shape of a jar associated with a number of months (12.24) which specifies the lifespan of a cream after opening. If, despite the change of treatment, the problem persists, or even worsens, consult a dermatologist to determine whether it is indeed reactivity or another problem (allergy, eczema, dermatitis, etc.).
