Despite the lousy weather, our calendar reminds us:it's almost summer! While our new clothes for this winter are crushing those of last year and those for spring are struggling to find a place, our wardrobes threaten to explode any second!
So, to not have to cry in front of the sliding doors out of alignment, the collapsed boards or the inability to store our new summer outfits, it's time to roll up our sleeves and do some real spring cleaning! And smiles:because yes, we can do it while having fun.
Before starting the fight, we need:
A dressing room and clothes (the base)
A tidy room to be able to make lots of batteries
Garbage bags
Our most beautiful underwear to feel hot
Music to pass this test in rhythm (and by losing even more calories)
5/6 kiwis, 150 g raspberries, 10 cl orange juice, 1/4 banana, plain yogurt, a pot of sugar, 10/12 ice cubes
Our best friends to help us (or if necessary chocolate)
Just to have the peach, the banana or even the potato, we concoct a little ultra-vitamin cocktail! It explodes the steel dynamism and moral thermometer, all without feeling guilty.
While Panoramix packs up, we follow the recipe here, swallow it all and presto, here we go!
We start by taking our surplus of sentimentality, our bad taste, we put them in the trash and we will throw the bag in the green trash cans at the bottom of our house.
Then, we look at our mountain of clothes and review them, at a glance, one by one. Every time a garment is ripped, faded, deformed, damaged → trash. It's quick and easy. Next!
Now we're going to look at those clothes that we keep, hidden under the pile, that we NEVER put on (they are ugly, super outdated or bought in a state of spendthrift trance) but that we keep for a reason obscure to say the least.
There, we take a scraper, we peel off the rest of sentimentality and bad taste that has stuck to our skull → trash. We select these clothes and we make a new stack (or a construction in Kapla mode).
We now find ourselves faced with two solutions:if we want to earn nuggets, we sell these clothes (there are plenty of sites:Vinted, videdressing, U Got a wish, Instant Luxe, Mon Fashion Depot, Vestiaire collective, Le Bon coin, ebay, Amazon,…). If we want to be even happier by doing a good deed, we donate our clothes to our friends, our neighbor or to associations.
Then there are those clothes that are out of the question to put back on, for the reasons mentioned above, but which have the advantage of having pretty fabrics.
We keep these and store them in a dedicated corner of our dressing room:we can always use them to customize other clothes (teasing:an article on this subject will be available on the site this week).
Yippee! It's almost done ! Time for us to take the "victory break" by following one of these ideas:
Resume smoothie shot
Exchanging juicy gossip with our friends
March past them à la Sex and The City in the ugliest clothes contained in our garbage bags (or even make clothes out of garbage bags if we are inspired)
To eat chocolate. Che good for morale (che good, good).
The time for the last sorting has come. A story that will be settled between our wardrobe and us.
To find out which latest outfits to put aside, we try them on one last time, slipping them over our most beautiful femme fatale underwear. That way, we'll know which ones stick with us and which ones we have to say goodbye to.
Moment of extreme pride:we made it! With our hearts filled with joy and relief, we put everything away, by category, just to be faster when getting dressed in the morning. We suspend the fragile parts. We put small anti-moth sachets that smell good. We're vacuuming. And it's good ! We won.
We put the sound on our computer and we get into place:it's time for the "victory dance" (the choreography here).
What's the point of having a tidy wardrobe if not to use it and tidy up a bit of mess along the way?
After a good shower, we choose our best outfit and we take our friends to a great restaurant and (if we still have the peach / banana / potato) to the dance floor. We deserve it!
