We meet today to talk about care and more specifically about an event I was able to attend at the end of February 2018 and which caught my attention. It was at Graine de Pastel that I was able to go accompanied by two subscribers to discover the 6 stages of Layering .
How? 'Or' What ? If you do not know Layering, it is the famous Japanese ritual which consists of applying your treatments in a very specific order, each following treatment will duplicate the qualities and benefits of the previous one. Also known as the "millefeuille" ritual , you will see that it is very important to take the time to do each of these steps, even more in order.
We were also able to discover the range of Graine de Pastel products. For my part, I already knew a few products, but I found it very interesting to present the range to us in the form of a routine . I explain everything in this article, good reading
Created in 2003 by Carole Garcia &Nathalie Juin, Graine de Pastel stems from a desire for a career change on the part of these two women and above all to do something that corresponded more to their aspirations. Pastel, this plant famous in our Occitanie region for its famous blue pigment , also contains active ingredients that are good for our skin. Moreover, the formulation of Graine de Pastel products is intended to be as respectful for our skin as for the environment with ingredients of natural origin from controlled and local agriculture (respect for biodiversity), with producers in the region . They also have organic labeled products.

Now let's get to the heart of the matter with the famous Layering routine. These six essential steps to have a beautiful skin in the long term. Six might seem like a lot depending on what habits you already have or don't have. For my part, I rather see a moment of essential relaxation for our skin.
In the morning, applying your care allows you to wake up gently , to have a little time for yourself before the rush of the day. And in the evening, it's the moment of relaxation that allows you to disconnect your mind. If you are afraid that it will take you time (it is not really the case, the routine is rather fast), a little advice:take good care of your skin and you'll feel less of the need to apply makeup in the morning, it's as simple as that.
Don't forget that care is the basis of everything in beauty, a lot of makeup on unhealthy skin is never good!
First step of Layrering which is totally essential let's be clear:make-up removal . No matter how you put on makeup, it is mandatory to remove everything once the evening comes. I strictly forbid you to go to bed wearing makeup, besides, it's really not pleasant, isn't it? Graine de Pastel offers us its cleansing oil which will allow you to remove all of your make-up, even waterproof, very easily.
Indeed, the oil texture is the most effective because it will literally melt the makeup under your fingers, even the resistant mascara. For my part, if it's not what I prefer for my personal use (I'm more micellar water), I found this one to be very soft and less greasy than other oils. However, it is a product that you have to rinse off to remove the "oily" effect, but it will still leave a very pleasant little hydrating film on your skin.
Then we wash his face! And I find that this jelly is the ideal product in the morning, to use in the shower for example. As it is a gel, you must moisten your face before applying it and the texture becomes creamy and melting, a real daily care ritual. It also helps to remove makeup residues if there are any and impurities from the skin.
Here is the product that I liked the most during this discovery evening at Graine de Pastel:their tonic lotion. I am a fan of these products that remove limescale from the water after the shower. But above all soothes my skin and gives me a real feeling of well-being. This lotion is very soft and its light fragrance is really pleasant.
Little trick :in the evening after doing these three steps, wait a little before applying the following treatments. This will allow your skin to breathe and enjoy the benefits of the lotion. To avoid wasting time, I take off my make-up and cleanse my face when I get home, then I only apply my moisturizers at bedtime , so I don't actually "wait" between steps.
Now let's move on to the moisturizing care ritual and its three steps that, personally, I never miss:serum, eye contour and moisturizer. I usually apply them in that order, but some start with the eye area.
Graine de Pastel offers its antioxidant care oil as a serum that will deeply nourish your skin. Its texture is fine, which means that the material is quickly absorbed by the skin and does not really "stick". Note that you must use a moisturizer after your serum, otherwise its effects are nil.
The area so fragile of the eye contour and very often forgotten during a skincare routine. However, this is where the skin on the face is the thinnest and can easily show the signs of aging. This Graine de Pastel treatment will allow you to bring the necessary hydration to this area, very lightly, but above all to prevent the appearance of wrinkles (from the age of 25 we start to think about it). Also, this product can be used for the lip contour.
Finally, I almost want to say to you "what if there was only one left? » that would be the moisturizer (but also the make-up removal of course). Two options are available to you depending on your skin type:the hydra-protective cream which is lighter and suitable for normal, combination and oily skin. I recommend it especially as a day cream. Thenthe nutri-protective balm which is, as its name suggests, a richer and more hydrating texture for dry to very dry skin. But if you have combination or dehydrated skin, don't hesitate to use it as a night cream, it will only do you good.
