You have just rubbed your hands and you see the dry skins appear again. Take good care of your hands with these tips.
1. Wear gloves
Put on your gloves when it's cold outside, especially in freezing cold. And preferably also wear gloves if it is not so cold outside. Especially if you have dry hands, gloves are a good protection for your dry skin.
2. Use cleaning gloves
Detergent dries out your hands. Therefore, put on cleaning gloves as soon as you come into contact with soapy water and cleaning agents.
3. Lubricate your hands regularly Preferably rub your hands several times a day. They could use a new layer of hand cream, especially after you've washed your hands.
4. Lubricate your hands extra thick before going to sleep
When you go to sleep, you don't have to touch anything anymore. The perfect time to rub your hands with an extra thick layer of greasy cream. Instead of hand cream you can use udder ointment or sudo cream. You can put on cotton gloves so that the cream can absorb well.
5. Check the humidity
A dry air in the house makes your hands dry. You can check the humidity with a hygrometer. If it is too low (below 40 percent), you can consider using a humidifier.
6. Do not use too much soap
Buy a soap that is as mild as possible for your skin and don't use too much of it. Rather wash your hands with cold water than with warm water.
