Hairstyle:3 braid trends to test

The braid is one of women's favorite hairstyles because it is easy to achieve, adapts to all hair types and gives a more worked and original look than the bun for example. So, just to innovate a little, we have selected for you 3 types of quick and easy braids that were all the rage in 2017.

1/ The crown braid

Also called headband braid, the crown braid is the star hairstyle of this year 2017! Easy to make and accessorize, it gives a chic and worked look. To do this, there are two options. The easiest is to weave a braid on the side, starting from the back of the neck, and then bring it up so that it goes around the head (either towards the forehead, or on the contrary, passing it through the back of the head and back to the top of the skull). The more technical option consists in separating the hair in two and starting from the top of the head, with an African braid (=fixed on the skull) which therefore starts from the middle parting and follows the contour of the head towards the nape of the neck . Finally, we fix it with flat pliers or a transparent elastic. The pro tip? We avoid tightening the braid too tightly against the skull to keep a fresh and spontaneous side.

2/ The spiky braid

The spiky braid breaks the codes of the classic braid because it only requires two strands instead of three, and it offers better hold for those with very straight and fine hair. To achieve it, we separate our hair into two locks of equal thickness, then we take a thin strand of the right lock that we pass over a thin strand of the left lock. And so on until the end of the length. The pro tip? Once the hairstyle is finished, you can tousle it slightly with a comb, to ensure a more rock'n roll unstructured look.

3/ The braid with accessories

Adding one (or more) accessories to your braid is to ensure an original look that catches the eye! The choice is great:fine ribbon, jewelry clips, sequined headband, bow or even small flowers to sprinkle along the hairstyle! If you choose the ribbon (fixed with a barrette), you can integrate it into your braid by braiding it as if it were one of the three locks of hair needed.

Before leaving, don't forget to spray a veil of hairspray for long-lasting hold!
