Decidedly, Lush does nothing like the others. Known for its commitments to animals, the vegan brand launched Lush Labs (Lush laboratories in VF) in April 2018, a monthly initiative that allows it to test products with consumers for a limited time. Concretely, every 29th of the month (a nod to 29 High Street in Poole, the first laboratory of the co-founders of Lush), the brand unveils a small quantity of products available exclusively online for a month. The goal of Lush Labs? Allow the brand to test its products with its consumers, and, depending on the feedback, launch them, improve them or even forget about them.
Since April, the brand has tested several products:solid foundations, perfumes, soaps... In this month of October, it is facial care that is highlighted. 5 products are offered:a solid oil for the face (which comes in 4 versions, adapted to different skin types), a solid cleansing balm (4 variations), a cleansing cream and seaweed-based eye patches kombu. On the price side, it goes from 2 € for the patches to 5.95 € for the cleansers and 15.95 € for the face oil. Of course, all the products are offered without packaging (hence the "solid" side), since the brand wants to see changes in waste behavior and has drastically reduced the amount of packaging around its products (even shower gels are solid now!). To keep them, just let the product dry and store it in a small box (or reuse the bag provided).
Why don't we join the gang of Lush testers?!
