Make-up is the product that is in direct contact with the air and pollution, so it is the one on which the particles attach themselves. Worse:some foundation textures promote the adhesion of nano-particles.
More and more complexion products are formulated with antioxidant and/or anti-pollution active ingredients and high UV protection. Their job is to prevent polluting particles from remaining on the surface of the skin, while reinforcing protection in the dermis and epidermis. The anti-pollution make-up acts in synergy with the antioxidant care, to reinforce its action. In a big city, it is almost compulsory. But, if you have to choose between skincare and anti-pollution make-up, it is better to favor skincare (more effective against free radicals, because it is in direct contact with the skin).
