I'm back today with a review on a beauty accessory and more particularly hair! Indeed, I had the opportunity to test the Trendy Liss Jalousy straightener from Hair Professionnel. To put you in context:I have normal hair, neither greasy nor dry, quite long and which is between smooth and wavy naturally.
I use heating devices almost daily (yes I know, it's not good). I straighten or curl my hair very often, so I'm always looking for the best devices. I currently have a GHD straightener which I am satisfied with, however it remains a rather expensive product, I wanted to test the Hair Professionnel straightener to see "what's in it" and if it could be another alternative to the expensive irons we all know. Focus on my review with a video demo!
A small presentation of the product to start:the Trendy Liss Jealousy (its little name makes me smile by the way) is a straightener with ceramic plates of a standard size and 10cm in length. The temperature is adjustable using small buttons ranging from 130° to 230° with several levels, which leaves a wide range to adjust it as you want.
Note that my GHD Styler V does not allow you to adjust the temperature, which I regret very much because I sometimes find it too hot! The heating time of the iron is 8 seconds, so it's really very fast and it's also what I expect from a straightener, especially when I'm in a hurry. Finally, its cable is still 3 meters long, which is huge and above all super practical! It is guaranteed for 2 years at Hair Professionnel .
It's made for all hair lengths and types, which I find really good. It is an iron that allows you to straighten the hair in the traditional way but also to make curls. Once again a little comparison with my GHD:I can't or have difficulty making curls (which hold well) with it, yet I was able to do it very well with my old Calor straightener... I can also do it without problems with the Trendy Liss Jealousy.
This straightener comes with a thermo-protective pouch and a microfiber cloth to clean it. I find that the pouch is essential, especially when you are in a hurry to put your iron in the suitcase without necessarily having to wait for it to cool.
In terms of use, I find it light and very easy to handle. It straightens really well, it takes me about 10 minutes to do all my hair (and I still have a bunch). It leaves the hair soft and silky in addition to smoothing it, but never forget to apply a heat protectant before using any heating device.
After several tests in different conditions (normal day, heat, rain, wind, at work, on the weekend), I find that the straightening totally holds up! In comparison with the GHD, I have to be honest with you:it's the same thing, honestly it's the same smoothing quality and the same duration on the hair.

I recommend this product for girls with long and normal hair like me, but also for girls with fine hair. I've also tried it on a friend's thicker, wavy hair and it works just as well! On the other hand, for really curly hair, I prefer not to comment since I couldn't do the test myself. It is a product with a good quality/price ratio.
