Have you been confronted with the processionary caterpillar again? My daughter has already gained experience with this. Fortunately, we now have Alka cream at home with which we fight the itching. And this cream is ideal not only for the itching of the processionary caterpillar, but also for other allergies. Essential in your care products stash. Also in Lotte's stash, as you can see in the photo below. I'll catch up with you.

Incidentally, it was a 'luck by accident' that we had the Alka cream at home. I have not used this cream before, even though I do have experience with other Alka products such as the Alka tea. However, I was allowed to review the cream. And because Lotte always suffers from a kind of heat bumps on her elbow that itch in the summer, she really wanted to try the Alka cream. She was relieved of her itching after just one application, so the cream is an asset to us anyway.
Well… what the Alka cream does against the processionary caterpillar, you can only try it out if you have experience with it. Let's just happen to have a big oak tree here in the street. One that serves as a home for a large nest of processionary caterpillars. A tree that the municipality does not do anything about. Because even if it is on the street… the neighbor across the street has the right to plant this tree and so the municipality does nothing about it.
You get it already… if you cycle under it a few times every day, the moment will come when you will suffer from this processionary caterpillar with its hairs that can cause so much itching. By the way, did you know that each processionary caterpillar can spread up to 700,000 invisible fire hairs? Another moment for Lotte to try the Alka cream, this time against the itching of the processionary caterpillar. And yes, here too the verdict is positive! By applying the Alka cream a number of times, the itching disappears here too.
In fact, it's even better to apply sunscreen beforehand, I read. By lubricating with Alka cream you get a less acidic skin, which also reduces the chance of itching and rash of the processionary caterpillar. This is more likely to happen with acidic skin than with alkaline skin.
In the end, it turns out not only the itching of the heat bumps and the processionary caterpillar to be combated by Alka cream. We also use it against the itching of mosquito mullets and Lotte (yes, again Lotte!) only rubbed her legs and buttocks when she wore shorts in the nettles fell 😉 . She had really big spots on her legs and of course that itched like crazy. But the Alka cream immediately relieved the itching.
All in all, we already have 4 forms of itching that can be treated well by the Alka cream; the processionary caterpillar, heat bumps, nettles and mosquito bites. As far as we are concerned, this cream should no longer be missing in the standard products for (almost) daily use. You can also use it as a day and night cream, I've already read so who knows, maybe we'll try that again.
The full list of ingredients can be found on Alka's site, but I'll just highlight a few:
The Alka cream can be used daily without any problems and may be supplemented with other Alka products such as the bath salt and scrub.
