Whether it's drawing the perfect eyeliner line, smudging mascara or dark circles, all women have certain beauty challenges that they just can't overcome. We have therefore listed ten beauty hacks that all women should know.
1. Clear adhesive tape for the perfect eyeliner
The perfect eyeliner is not easy to put on. One way to master this is to use clear tape. Place the tape under your lashes on the outside towards your temples. Do this with both eyes. Draw the liquid eyeliner normally over the lid and then follow it over the line. Extend it as often as you want as long as it stays close to the tape. Repeat for the other eye, remove the tape and you're done.
2. Move the mascara brush
We all want long lashes, but not all of us have them and then use false lashes. This is not necessary. Instead, the secret is in the mascara application. When you pick up your mascara brush, move the brush from left to right over your lashes. In this way you push the lashes up and take advantage of the length.
3. Make lipstick last
Women who use lipstick know that they need to reapply it several times a day. A lipstick hack to keep the color longer is to apply the lipstick and then gently place a tissue over the lips. Then lightly tap some translucent or pressed powder over the tissue and this will hold it in place.
4. Highlight eyeshadow colors Vibrant and bold eye colors are a great investment, but sometimes they lose their brightness and look duller when applied directly to the eyelid. Put a layer of white eyeliner or eyeshadow on your eye before applying the color. This will make the color pop and appear more obvious and alive.
5. Apply baby powder to the lashes
Another way to accentuate long lashes is to put baby powder on them. Using a cotton swab, apply baby powder to your top and bottom set of lashes. Once this is done, apply mascara for fuller lashes.
6. Double your ponytail
Sometimes our locks look long and luscious, but once we put our hair in a ponytail, the hair looks a lot thinner. One way to make your ponytail look longer and thicker is to split the hair in half. Tie half of your hair into a regular ponytail. Tie the rest of the hair into a low ponytail. Tie the two parts of the tails together and it will look much longer.
7. Avoid mascara smudges with a spoon
There are so many beauty products these days to master our makeup problems, but sometimes it's a matter of being a little quirky and using the most effective tools, which is a spoon. Almost everyone suffers from the dreaded mascara marks on the lids during application, but placing a spoon with the curve above or below your lash line prevents this.
8. Brighten up the inner corners of your eyes White eyeliner has been known in the makeup scene for a while, but using it correctly is essential. Applying a little bit of white eyeliner in the corner of your eyes will brighten them up and accentuate your other makeup.
9. Use red/orange lipstick to hide dark circles
Using bright red lipstick as a concealer really works. While red and orange seem like such bright and vibrant colors, they neutralize the blue and purple tones that cause dark circles in the first place. Apply the lipstick with a brush around the eye area, then take your concealer and apply it over it.
10. Tame small hairs with a toothbrush Trying to get a slick bun is never easy when baby hair and flyaway hair refuse to work together. If hairspray and brushing it away don't work, it's time to get a toothbrush.
It sounds strange, but using a toothbrush to tame those loose hairs works.
