Even though many things are now possible again – it doesn't take much for a romantic get-together. Wellness moments can be enjoyed in your own home and at the side of your partner. Here we have beauty tips for Valentine's Day for relaxing hours together.
Is there anything more relaxing than a massage with fragrant oils? You don't have to be an expert to release tension with a few gentle stroking movements and leave everyday life outside the door. Aromatic oils based on, for example, lavender (relaxing), lemon balm (harmonising) or sandalwood (relaxing) not only care for and smooth the skin. The scents also contribute to moments of well-being and help to reduce stress. Hint: Provide a pleasantly warm room temperature and choose a surface for the massage that can withstand a few drops of oil. Before the massage, gently apply the oil to the palms of your hands and warm it up by rubbing.
If you still need an extra portion of care, treat yourself and your partner with a nourishing face mask. Since men and women have different skins and can also differ in skin type and skin condition, the respective mask should be chosen to meet different skin needs. For example, men tend to have oily or blemished skin more often. Rather moisturizing masks than intensively nourishing. Hint: Warmly wrapped in a bathrobe, gently apply the face mask in circular motions and enjoy the moment of relaxation together.
Anyone who knows it knows that a foot bath can do wonders on cold, wet winter days. Foot baths also help with colds, swollen legs or in preparation for a pedicure. And in the summer they can even be used for cooling. So you can choose between warm, cold, ascending or alternating foot baths. Hint: A warm foot bath is suitable for relaxation for two, in which the feet are placed in warm water (approx. 36 -38°C) for about 10 to 20 minutes. Additives, such as lavender oil, enhance the effect of the warm water and reduce stress.
The bathroom for two is pure luxury. The bathroom as a common refuge becomes a place to dream and offers the opportunity for deep relaxation – far away from everyday stress. A full bath is a blessing for body, mind and soul – especially with fragrance additives. Due to the warmth of the water and the slight swelling of the skin, the active ingredients in the additives penetrate better into the skin and develop their positive properties there. Additives such as almond oil care for and even out the skin, rose oil gives the entire bath a wonderful scent or orange oil refreshes the skin and retains moisture. Hint: When added directly to the water jet, the bath additives work best and allow their fragrance to spread throughout the room.
