Could it be that easy?
For a study, photos of women were edited:one photo received more contrast, the other photo less contrast. In the photo with more contrast, the eyes, lips and eyebrows in particular were made more prominent, so that they really popped out of the face.
In 80 percent of the cases, the woman in the photo with more contrast was rated as younger. So it's time to add a little more contrast to your face with make-up?
Make-up techniques
- Supply your lips with a lip pencil in a color that is close to your natural lip color. Blur the line so it isn't too harsh. Color the rest of your lips with the same color.
- Use a medium brown eyeshadow on your lids and apply it in your crease with a slightly darker shade. You can blend the colors with a brush. Finish it off with eyeliner and mascara.
- Raising your eyebrows can make a big difference. Choose an eyebrow pencil that does not deviate too much from your own hair color. Make small lines and then brush your eyebrows into shape, possibly with eyebrow gel.
