Shiny, healthy and frizz-free hair in no time.
- Don't wash your hair too often. The more you wash your hair, the frizzier, drier and more brittle it gets. This is because you are not only washing away dirt, but also sebum. Sebum protects your scalp and makes your hair supple. It is best to wash your hair no more than two to three times a week. It will take your scalp a while to get used to the new routine, so your hair will be oilier at first. On the days you don't wash your hair, you can use a dry shampoo to make your hair look less greasy.
- Do not rinse out your conditioner for too long. This way you keep a thin, protective layer around your hair that provides shine. You can also occasionally use a hair mask, possibly instead of conditioner.
- Finish your shower with cold water:the low temperature closes your hair cuticles and makes your hair less frizzy.
- Brush your hair regularly if you have straight hair. This allows the light to reflect better and you get radiant locks. Don't overdo the brushing; running a comb through your hair once a day is more than enough. Brushing too often can actually damage your hair.
- Let your hair shine from within:keratin is the building material for your hair. You can find this in omega-3-rich foods such as fatty fish, linseed (oil), avocado and walnuts.
- Do not rub your hair too roughly with a towel. This will damage the hair shafts and make your hair look dull and fluffy. Rather, gently squeeze your hair and pat it dry with a soft towel or cotton t-shirt.
- Don't use too many styling products at once. So do not apply both a serum, cream, nourishing spray and hairspray in your hair. In this way, the residues accumulate in your coupe, causing the shine to disappear.
- Clean your hairbrush regularly so that you don't spread dirt through your hair when brushing.
