Web editor Shirley accepts the challenge and participates in one of Santé's challenges:she does not wash her hair for a week. It's day 4 and it's getting tougher.
Shirley: I think my hair still looks okay, but for me my hair is already quite greasy. While I'm on the train to work, I try to think of ways to get out of the rest of this challenge without losing face. I just took my winter coat out of the closet again, I can't let that collar get dirty right away because of my greasy hair? Poor excuse.
Switch from no-poo to low-poo?
Maybe the low-poo move is more for me. The people who follow this method do wash their hair, but as little as possible and with natural ingredients. Baking soda, apple cider vinegar, or white clay are great alternatives to shampoo. Shall I visit the store after work? Once I get to work, I get an unexpected pep talk from a colleague:'Is it day four already? You can't see it yet!'
Another challenge
This challenge also comes with another challenge. I have a tic:I regularly run my hand through my hair. Today I try not to do. I don't want to make my hair even fatter.
Can I keep up with the challenge?
I'm already a bit ashamed of my hair. I should have planned a week of homework for this challenge. Do you have any tips for how I can continue this challenge without oily hair? Let me know via Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Are you participating in one of the challenges from Santé? Share your experience with #santechallenge.
