Are you drying your hair incorrectly?

Are you drying your hair incorrectly?

After washing, dry your hair. Simple, right? But plenty can go wrong. Read on and find out if you're drying your hair the wrong way.

Rinse
Rinse your hair with cold water after washing. This ensures that the hair cuticles close and that your hair becomes smoother. That makes your hair easier to comb.

Dry
Wet hair is extra fragile. So don't be too rough with your towel. Rubbing makes your hair rough and porous faster. It is better to pinch your hair dry instead of rubbing it. You can also use a cotton t-shirt, which is gentler on your hair.

Styling
Comb your hair gently with a wide-tooth comb. Comb the tangles out of your hair from bottom to top. Let the brush do the work and try to pull your hair as little as possible to prevent hair breakage. Dominique Snip, owner of hair brand Sheado, says:'It is best to let your hair air dry with a leave-in conditioner in it. You can blow dry. First, use a product that protects your hair from the heat. Set the hair dryer to the lowest setting and keep it about six inches away from your hair.'
