May 21 is Protect Your Skin Day. Dermatologists across the country are holding an open day on this Saturday.
The goal of this day is to ensure that skin cancer is recognized earlier and to teach people to sunbathe wisely.
Skin cancer
The number of people with skin cancer has increased significantly in recent years. more than two million cases of skin cancer are discovered every year † There are several reasons for the increase. Many people have skin type I or II, skin types that burn quickly , but people also go on holiday more and more. We lie in the sun too long and apply too little and we are also not used to have our skin checked by a dermatologist †
Open day
A large part of Dutch hospitals participate in Protect Your Skin Day † You can register for the open day at a hospital near you at www.beschermjehuiddag.nl †
