Beauty sleep works! People who get enough sleep look more attractive and healthier than people who sleep too little. This is according to a Swedish study published in the British Medical Journal (BMJ).
The study shows that rested people look more attractive and healthier than sleep deprived people. According to the researchers, it is the first time that the idea that people have a beauty sleep need has been scientifically confirmed.

For the study, volunteers were photographed after eight hours of sleep and again after being awake for 31 hours. The participants were allowed to not use any make-up and were asked to look relaxed and with a neutral facial expression in both photos. Subsequently, 65 people were asked to rate the volunteers on fatigue, attractiveness and healthy appearance †
In general, the pictures of the sleep-deprived subjects were rated as less healthy, less attractive, and more tired. The researchers conclude that if you don't get enough sleep, you will see it on your face †
