Most brands offer ready-to-use blends to match your hair color and enhance its tone.
The longer you leave on, the more intense and long-lasting the color will be.
Be careful, henna, even natural, tends to produce red or even red reflections.
If you want to remove henna from strands, here's how.
Lemon juice bleaches and slowly lightens the hair by removing its pigments.
It is used on light hair to obtain natural golden reflections.
Unlike other methods, the effects of lemon are permanent. Why?
Because the pigment of hair treated with lemon disappears.
To get rid of discolored hair, you will have to let it grow out or cut it.
- Pour the juice of one lemon into a spray bottle.
- Spray the juice generously on your hair, especially on the ends for a "beach" effect
- Comb the hair to distribute the juice evenly throughout your hair.
- For best results, sit in the sun for at least an hour, then rinse.
- Repeat the operation several times to obtain the effect you want.
This coloring is slow and requires more repeated applications to start enjoying the results.

When you have found the right dosage, the right shade and the right frequency for your hair, you want your color to last as long as possible.
For this, there are several tips to prolong your natural color:
- Limit the use of hot appliances as much as possible, such as hair dryers, straighteners and curling irons.
- Avoid taking showers that are too hot.
- Avoid washing your hair every day.
- Use a water filter in your shower to filter out color altering chemicals, such as chlorine or heavy metals.
If you don't want to play the little chemist in your kitchen, there are ready-made natural colors.
They are normally made without toxic chemicals, but check the label before buying one.
Avoid ingredients such as parabens, ammonia and sulfates.
I recommend the following 4 brands:
- Khadi for henna
- Naturtint
- Herbal Time
- Vegetable powder from Schwarzkopf
Classic hair colors (like this one) are full of chemicals that have toxic effects on your body in the long run.
Indeed, semi-permanent and permanent oxidative hair dyes penetrate deep into the hair.
Not only do these questionable products damage the hair in the long term and cause skin irritation...
..but in addition, it increases the risk of cancer, especially bladder or blood cancer such as leukemia.
You will understand, the choice is quickly made if you want to color your hair without taking any risks!
