Natural Feet Beauty

Summer is here, and in many regions it's time to bring out the little open sandal. Yes, but winter has passed by and you really can't assume the appearance of your feet when it comes out?

Here's my weekly ritual to get them back on their feet and show them off in town and on the beach:

  1. Take a foot bath, and yes they too have the right to their cocooning moment. Add coarse salt to hot water, and possibly a few drops of lavender essential oil (coming in the July box) and relax.
  2. After the bath, let's move on to sanding... Yes, it may seem barbaric, but by discovering the pumice stone from the June box, you'll get a taste for an effective and gentle scrub at the same time. Without having dried the feet beforehand, exfoliate using circular movements. Concentrate mainly on heels and corns but without stripping too much.
  3. To remove all the dead skin and give your feet a prettier look, you can also add a scrubbing part to your sanding, which this time is softer and can be done on the whole foot. Coffee grounds and vegetable oil will be enough to make your homemade scrub, rub your feet, your ankles and why not all your legs in order to benefit from the properties of this mixture.
  4. Once the deep care part is over, dry your feet carefully (be careful not to forget the gaps between the toes) and apply the organic coconut oil from the June box or a good vegetable butter such as shea or cocoa.
  5. There are quite thin socks that are specially designed to maximize the hydration of the feet, personally I'm a fan! But you can sleep just fine with lambda socks and your butter.
  6. Wake up the next day with soft, hydrated feet ready to shine in sandals or flip flops!

My further advice:

it is important to hydrate your feet and your body in general, every day when you can. Always be sure to trim your nails regularly. Summer, let your feet breathe, it's the only time of the year when they are not locked and compressed in shoes. If you wear varnish, do not neglect the base on your nails before applying it, this will prevent you from damaging them.

So ready for a barefoot summer?

See you soon,
