A double tie knot is no more complicated than a more classic knot. To achieve it, just follow a few easy-to-reproduce steps.
As its name suggests, the double tie knot is a knot with two turns. The goal ? Create a safer and thicker stripe . The steps to achieve this double link are therefore similar to those necessary for a simple . There is only one small additional step.
To make a double tie knot, first raise your shirt collar and button it to the last button at the top. Then place your tie around your neck, under your upturned collar. Be sure that the seams of the tie are towards your shirt, so that they are not visible. The wide end of the tie should be longer than the small side:it must protrude by about 15 centimeters.
Once the tie is in place, the first turn of the knot must be prepared. For this one, pass the large end of the tie over the small end, to your right. Then, pass the large end under the small end to your left, so that the large end goes completely around the small end . Using your index finger, squeeze this first knot, so that it stays in place.
Once the first round is done, just repeat the same movements to create the second round — still keeping the beginning of the knot in place with your index finger. When the large end of the tie has gone around the small end twice, make raise the large end towards your chin , between your shirt collar and the knot.
Once passed over the knot, the large end must be slid between the small end and the two windings previously made. While holding the knot firmly, pull on the large end to tighten the whole.
Adjust the length of the large end:it must be longer than the small one. Come up well the knot to your collar. And that's it, you're done!
