The new in-salon repair treatments promise to repair the hair fiber in depth (up to the cortex). Their promise? A result that lasts up to six weeks. We wanted to check…
Pro Fiber (€15) is available in L'Oréal Professionnel salons. It is the most tailor-made, because it is available in three versions, suitable for low to very sensitized hair. It is formulated with Aminosilane, a molecule capable of rebuilding the cortex, and a cationic polymer, which attaches to the most damaged areas of the hair. It is the layering of products (shampoo, treatment, mask) that allows the active ingredients to penetrate. The hair is beautiful, shiny and soft to the touch. At home, we use the right products for each wash (from €15.50 to €27). Every four shampoos, we recharge in depth with Pro Fiber Re-Charge, more concentrated in care (€29.90). Why do we find this protocol top? It is the cheapest, the fastest (15 to 20 minutes) and it is very efficient, especially when recharging it at home.
The BB Cream Treatment (from €80), available at the Myriam K salon (41, avenue de la Grande-Armée in Paris), starts with shampoo and hair drying. The deep treatment (with macadamia and argan oil and provitamin B5) is applied section by section, before being dried. The hairdresser then "seals" the treatment with a straightening iron (the heat closes the scales) and applies a shine serum. It takes at least an hour. We come out with shiny hair and ends that look like they have been cut. We maintain with the shampoo (25 €) and the mask (38 €) from the BB Cream range.
The Happiness Treatment (from €90) is performed in Lissfactor salons. The application of the products, rich in collagen, keratin, silk protein and amino acids, is done in several stages:first a shampoo + brushing with the application of a mask. We rinse, then the hairdresser shampoos and two treatments before finishing with a brushing, to close the scales of the hair. It's long (two hours), but the hair is visibly repaired, smooth and soft to the touch. To make it last, use the shampoo from the Miso range (€23.50) and the Eau de Bonheur leave-in treatment (€27).
