If you want a well-structured hairstyle (for an evening, for example), comb a straight parting on the side and flatten your hair on each side. For a more "wild" look, swept the hair back without parting.
Two options:1/ If you want to fix the hairstyle, use gel (you can steal your guy's/brother's/roommate's...). Take a dab of product in the palm of your hand. Heat the material in your palms then apply the gel from the roots. Be careful not to use too much product so as not to freeze the hairstyle (you can always add more if necessary).

2/ If you are not comfortable with the gel, choose a hair oil instead (which, in addition, nourishes the hair). Pour a little in the palm of your hand, heat and apply at the roots, going down slightly towards the lengths. To fix the hairstyle, then spray a little hairspray.

Apply the product from the roots to the ears, following the contour of the face. If you have the side parting, you can tie the "short side" lengths down the neck with bobby pins (small flat clips) and let the other side hang over the top.
Give a little wild effect to your lengths with a salt spray for example. You can also "spray" a veil of hairspray and then roll them up on themselves for a few minutes. Be careful not to "dirty" the lengths too much, at the risk of obtaining a cracra result...
And There you go ! All you have to do is add a summer make-up and a cool outfit... You are the mermaid!
