Creating homemade cosmetics is good, but sometimes it can get complicated, especially when you have to do skincare products that need to be heated during their preparation, such as creams, shampoos, deodorants or shower gels. Nelly Pitt therefore decided to create a robot that facilitates the creation of products. Beauty Mix is not the first on the market, but it is the only one (to our knowledge) to provide the ingredients and the recipes, and moreover, it is French. In an ecological approach, each ingredient, of natural and organic origin, is delivered in reusable and returnable glass bottles (you receive a €1 reduction if you return the containers). There are even ingredient kits sold on the site depending on our skin type! But then how does it work? Nothing could be simpler, just put each ingredient for the recipe (which can be found on the application or on the site) in the robot, select the program (cold preparation or hot preparation) and leave the robot do the job. And then, all you have to do is transfer the treatment into a glass container (also provided).
For the moment, only a few recipe cards are available, but there is already something for basic care:deodorant, lip balm, micellar water, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, clay mask, cream moisturizer, scrub, toothpaste, moisturizer… And the best part is that each recipe is customizable since you can choose certain ingredients. For example, for the shower gel, you can choose the smell as well as the oil that you will put. Each recipe specifies the difficulty of the realization, the duration of the preparation as well as that of the conservation. And for people who are more experienced in homemade cosmetics, it is quite possible to develop their own recipes. As far as makeup products are concerned, no recipe has been officially written, but it is explained on the site that you can create your own lipstick by adding pigments to the lip balm (not stupid! ) or its foundation by tinting the face cream base. To go even further, a connected version should arrive in 2020 in which a special function for doing your own makeup will be integrated.
The robot is sold at 129 € on the site as well as at Nature et Découvertes. The ingredient kits are sold between €25 and €15. A price that may seem high, but in the long term it becomes profitable since a kit of 25 € allows you to make 3 products! So we say yes for our skin, but also for the planet.
