Building on the success of last year, L'Occitane and Antik Batik have decided to do it again for this summer of 2016. The two brands, which have respect for tradition, craftsmanship and sustainable development as common points, have wanted this time to revive the tradition of the Provençal Indians. In the 17th century, an “Indienne” was a fabric imported from the Indian counters and then made in Europe, to become the emblem of the south of France.
While last year Antik Batik produced several fashion accessories (clutches, cases and shopping bags), this year the collection only includes 3 pieces:a sarong, a wallet bag and a small case. All in a beautiful pop yellow hue that pays homage to the immortelle, the emblematic flower of Corsica, which also inspired the (luxury) skincare range from L'Occitane.
Note that Antik Batik is the brand that is on the rise at the moment. Their collaboration with Monoprix for this spring of 2016 went by very quickly, not to mention their association with watchmaker Louis Pion last year. The fashion brand had produced on occasion, lovely woven bracelets. At this rate, we can hope for a third collaboration between the two brands for next summer... Anyway, don't we say "Never two without three"?
The collection will be available in L'Occitane boutiques and on the loccitane.fr website from June 29, 2016 until the end of August 2016. The wallet bag is €26, the kit €19 and the sarong €19.
