The fashion world, that is a world in itself. With its own standards and values, and (unwritten) rules. Although I personally do my best to keep up, I'm not a mega trendy type. How about you? Although… Your daughter may not agree. Just like with us… the current fashion trends are closely followed by daughter. And she doesn't always align with me.

To be fair, fashion is often quite generational and the trend is not followed by everyone. For example, my grandmother spontaneously gave me extra pocket money when I proudly showed her my new jeans with holes. And the cowboy boot trend also raised big question marks in her face. And the older you get, the more often you question fashion trends in my opinion. Bulky shoes under a dress; I think it's very beautiful now, but not everyone is used to that street scene yet.
The generation gap all too often leads to incomprehension in fashion. Do you sometimes get a crooked look from your daughter or son when it comes to your outfit? Or from your mother? Then you can wet your chest this fashion season. It can't be crazy enough. Striking combinations and separate looks are completely hip. And the question is again what our children will think of that…
Three-quarter pants with ankle boots and a decent heel. This Nubikk patent leather shoe, for example, will immediately make your look stand out. My daughter thinks such 'high water pants' are terrible. I'm not completely sure about it myself, but that's probably due to my calves. Anyway, pants are allowed again in all lengths. Slim fit or flared, it doesn't matter. And it's up to you to know what kind of shoes you're wearing underneath! And that makes me happy again. Shoe fetishist that I am.
In any case, we see an interesting trend in fashion when it comes to shoes. You used to have 'decent shoes' and 'work shoes'. If you went to a party, a pair of heels was prescribed. And the rest of the time you wore practical, comfortable shoes. We can also ignore that rule. These days, boxes are just neat, just like sneakers by the way. Because how often do you not see sneakers under a dress these days. Beautiful and comfortable!
I really, really like shoes. With a heel, flat, slipper or cool motor boots, everything makes me happy. Now you see another trend in fashion that prints are allowed on a shoe. I like that too. I already have a few of these in my closet, but the one above from Bristol (with those flowers) I couldn't resist. That floral print is gorgeous! A statement with which my daughter does not agree 😉 .

The checkered raincoat for men is totally hip. With such a leather Magnanni shoe underneath, the whole still has a neat look. Although, his mother may think otherwise!
