It's my favorite piece of clothing for the summer, a maxi dress! You might not say it because most people really only know me in jeans or leather pants, but I really love dresses. I just wear them far too little and I have a number of reasons for that!

For starters, I don't fit our lifestyle very well these days. I don't renovate in a dress anyway, you get that. But apart from that, when we're not renovating, I don't wear a dress very easily, at least not in the winter. And that has to do with our animals.
In the winter I could in principle also wear a maxi dress, with long sleeves for example, but because we have pigs and goats I can't think of that so quickly. Our farm animals have to have food twice a day and to dredge in a dress between the animals now is not really ideal. They always come to have a nice sniff. Our pigs always have mud on their nose because they can root around everywhere. And that mud ends up on my clothes. Default. And always 😉 . And one of the kids is so friendly that he often likes to stand up to you. Also very nice, but not in the winter when it is muddy outside. And that's why I only wear a maxi dress in the summer.
In the summer there is no mud and noses and paws are relatively clean. In addition, it is so hot outside that I don't really care about wearing jeans. I love a maxi dress on the other hand. Preferably a long dress that is wide enough at the bottom so that it flutters nicely.
I can be very brief about that. I do feel comfortable in a maxi dress and not in a mini one. This will undoubtedly have to do with my age, but also with the fact that I don't think my legs are particularly beautiful. My calves are too fat for my liking, my knee is ugly due to a large scar and my thighs don't really deserve the beauty prize. So, that's out.
In the summer I may also wear shorts, but a maxi dress hides it all just a bit easier and also returns to the clothing trends for 2021. A long dress only wears less pleasantly during long walks with the dog for instance. And so I always have an excuse for not having enough long dresses in my wardrobe. Too bad, because I really like it. Nice with a slipper, but also very nice with open sandals and a heel or with cool boots. I don't care about that and I basically wear everything under my long dresses, depending on the occasion.
My wardrobe counts three maxi dresses. One of these I wear a lot, at home and on vacation. And yet I couldn't find a picture of myself in that maxi dress in the summer. Sorry. It is in any case a cotton dress in one color (sand color) without sleeves, which flares out. It combines very easily with, for example, a denim jacket, which is useful if you are on the road all day.
Another dress in my wardrobe is the one above. Also without sleeves as you can see. For me, this is really a dress that I wear to a party, for example. I think it's just a bit too chic for home. It wears well, but it just barely fits my breasts. I think I can lose a few pounds so that he falls even more beautiful.
I also have one, I just remember. A jersey dress I wore years ago and still have in my closet. I actually don't dare wear it anymore because it is a tight model where you really see every roll of fat. It is possible between this V, haha. The photo above was taken on a press trip in Portugal, it's often there for a nice maxi dress in the summer, isn't it?
I would like to have a maxi dress like the one at the top of this article for this summer. Or at least something like that. A maxi dress that is nice and cheerful and swings, but also closes well at the top so you don't have to keep an eye on it 😉 . And I also think a beautiful Boho dress like the one above is a great asset!
