I already find it difficult to choose a perfume for myself, let alone that I 'have to' choose a men's perfume as a gift for my hubby. And yet I do it, because I think it's a nice gift to give. Despite the fact that I find it difficult to make a choice for the right perfume for men, I did it anyway. And online too, which is very easy in these busy times. At the invitation of House of Formulas I did a quiz to find out which perfume I actually like the best. Of course, when doing that quiz, I also kept in mind that the answers I gave also fit Frank's scent experience (as far as I know), but this way I can also take my own taste into account in the decision. I find it useful!
Do you prefer to pick out a perfume in the store, by holding about ten to twenty sticks with different scents under your nose? I can not do that. I'm kind of hypersensitive to smells and when I get several scents pushed under my nose I smell everything together. And there is so much choice in perfume (also for men) that I can no longer see the forest for the trees.
In addition, a perfume smells different on your skin than on a piece of paper and that applies to men and women of course. So ordering online isn't such a bad idea after all, is it? In addition, the reviews on the House of Formulas website are so positive that I dared it.
The quiz I did online is also very fun to do. It doesn't just consist of 'smell' questions. In fact, in the perfume quiz you get more opportunity to indicate your preferences. In all kinds of areas. And depending on your preferences, the advice is issued for a specific men's perfume.
One of the questions, for example, already relates to your preference for meat, vegetarian or a balanced diet. But your favorite cuisine is also discussed and which drink you prefer to drink. Whether you smoke is also a question that is asked and what your favorite series is. Funny that they can get a certain smell out of that. After 3 minutes you will know which scent probably suits you best.
Do you still find it difficult to decide which men's perfume to choose despite the quiz? Then you can always opt for the Discovery set. In this set you get the scents they all have in a small tube of 1.5 ml. This way you can really test them all on your skin and experience the scent. Then you make the final choice for the perfume that you want to have, or of course want to give.
Anyway, after doing the quiz you will get an advice. And from that advice comes a Day and Night perfume. In our case it is CITRUSY &FRESH and the FRESH &HERBACEOUS † I like fresh, it turns out 😉 . The advice also clearly states what you can expect from the perfume scent for men. For example, in Frank's case, the Day fragrance starts with a touch of lavender and eventually leaves a classic masculine impression. That seems appropriate!
I have already received the package and I have already secretly smelled it. hmmmm. It is of course still the question whether Frank will enjoy it just as much 😉, but that will be fine. I've known him for quite some time now. The only bad thing about House of Formulas is that they only have men's perfume and no women's fragrances. I would also love to try such a quiz for my own fragrance.
